Aims & Objectives

Our Aim :

  • The main aim of the Society is to educate the people about normal functioning of the kidneys, ways in which kidneys get damaged and the consequences of losing the kidney function. The organization hopes that this approach will serve the following purposes:
    • To help to prevent a number of preventable kidney diseases.
    • To make people understand symptoms of kidney diseases and thereby enable early detection.
    • To be a guide for those who have unfortunately lost their normal kidney function to decide the most appropriate treatment.
    • To educate the Normal functioning of kidneys.
    • Different causes of kidneys damage – Food habits, lifestyle, heredity, Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Arthritis, obesity etc.
    • Patients interaction – an extremely important factor for a patient suffering from a chronic disease. Such interactions have been instrumental in helping patients to cope up with kidney failure.
    • One of the most important activities of the Society is to help donors intending to donate kidney to their near ones suffering from kidney failure, make the right decision by explaining the full process of kidney donation and kidney transplantation. Donating a part of the body to a near and dear relative is a very courageous act. It is because of these courageous people that so many people with irreversible kidney failure are alive today. Truly, for those who have received the kidney it is a “gift of life”.
